Why the VMAs Sucked:
- No Justin Timberlake. Last year's VMAs were decent because the show was peppered with JT. He better get another album out in time for next year, or else that one is going to suck too. He can't rely on Madonna to win more VMAs obviously since they didn't win for "4 Minutes"
- JT not winning. Boo.
- Taylor Swift talking. At all.
- The Jonas Brothers singing. Who decided these guys had talent?
- Katy Perry singing live. Seriously, her live performances are SHIT. I don't know if she does it on purpose or what but every time I hear her live, she SUCKS. Plus, the vid for "I Kissed a Girl" was shit too. But that's not the point.
- Michael Phelps was not on long enough. Sad.
- Danity Kane and The Pussycat Dolls being acknowledged as 'artists'.
- Lindsay Lohan being at the VMAs. WTF. Granted, she announced the winning of the lame 'dance-off' between the lame dance crews from Randy Jackson's lame dance crew show, but still. WTF.
- Miley Cyrus butchering a classic Bon Jovi song. Seriously.
Things That Could Have Been Redeeming About the VMAs, but There Was too Much SUCK to Overcome:
- Russell Brand imploring America to vote for Obama, referring to Bush as a retarded cowboy. CLASSIC.
- Michael Phelps introducing Lil Wayne.
- Leona Lewis being AWESOME.
- Britney Spears NOT dancing. (Although a video leaked online of her rehearsing with some dancers, and bitch looked goooooood)

The VMAs always seem to suck... but I loved Pink and Paramore's performance. I didn't see most of the show though and I turned it off before Jonas Brothers because.... just NOT my thing and when I heard Miley Cyrus was doing "living on a prayer" I was TERRIFIED so I turned it off. Pink is AMAZING, I love her so much! I'm not so into Paramore but they were decent. Miley = LAME!
